Welcome to the “Headwaters” of the Water Resilience Toolkit! Here’s a welcome video and two orientation videos to help you get familiar with the toolkit and each guide.

The Water Resilience Toolkit includes resources organized for motivated growers exploring water resilience, and for facilitators who support growers as technical assistance providers, educators, coaches, etc. We know many of you wear different hats on different days!

Why are you here today?

TOOLKIT TIP! Think of this page as your home base. After you enter either the Grower or Facilitator resources, look for the breadcrumb trail near the top of the page. Click ‘Water Resilience Toolkit Headwaters’ to return here and switch between the two toolkits or revisit the welcome video.

This toolkit is a living, dynamic resource. You can move through it in the order we’ve outlined, or jump straight to the article that meets your current need. What you discover on your farm, the questions it raises, and the approaches you find useful will shape how it develops.

The Dry Farming Institute, in partnership with Oregon State University Center for Resilient Agriculture and Food Systems, is co-developing this Water Resilience Toolkit with growers and agricultural service providers across the West Coast.

This work is made possible through the support of aligned funders and collaborators who are investing in grower-led experimentation, soil- and water-resilient practices, and community-based learning; your contributions help ensure the toolkit remains grower-centered, practical, and accessible to diverse operations navigating water scarcity and climate uncertainty.
