Christmas Watermelon

8-12 lb pink watermelon with light green skin; selected under dry farmed conditions in Northern CA; known for it’s keeping ability. The average yield per plant in a 2019 melon trial with the OSU Dry Farming Project was 84 lbs or ~8 melons per plant. Christmas watermelon has been a favorite of the Dry Farming Collaborative because it holds in the field well and has consistent flavor and crisp texture.
